intro
“Hello, your ticket please!” - all our passengers are probably familiar with this phrase. Our ticket inspectors regularly check that everything is in order on our trains. Their duties also include ticket inspection. All passengers must show their valid ticket - it only takes a moment.
Please note: Please also make sure that your ticket has been validated, as only validated tickets are considered valid.
If our ticket inspectors check someone without a valid ticket, that person must pay an increased fare or a fare surcharge (FN) of at least 60 Euro in accordance with the general conditions of carriage.

Legal issues
Please understand that the control staff may and cannot differentiate whether a passenger has intentionally or erroneously traveled without a validated ticket.
